Test Day - Important Information and Policies
The Listening, Reading and Writing tests will take place from 8:30 a.m. to about 1:00 p.m.
Interview Scheduling (only for candidates who register for the Speaking test) Interviews are scheduled in the order in which the registration forms are received. Regrettably, we cannot accommodate special requests.
- Morning Interviews Interviews for candidates who are not sitting for the Listening and Reading tests are normally scheduled between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on the day of the written test. Candidates registered for the Speaking test only will be notified by Language Testing Services of the time they must report to the testing session.
- Afternoon Interviews Interviews for candidates who are sitting for the Listening, Reading and Writing test will be scheduled between 1:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on the date of the written test. Depending on registration numbers, those candidates who register later may be required to complete their Speaking test on the day following the written test. Candidates who are required to take the Speaking test on the second day will be notified at least one week prior to the test. Generally, all testing is completed on the testing date.
What NOT to bring to the test. Please note that you will only be permitted to bring your photo identification and water bottle into the testing room. All the necessary materials will be provided at the test. All coats, bags and electronics must be left in the designated supervised area. Your items will be supervised throughout the test but the CanTEST is not responsible for any lost or stolen items. Therefore, we strongly recommend that you leave any valuables at home (this includes cash, cell phones and other electronics). We recommend that you plan ahead and do not bring unnecessary materials to the test with you. If you think you may be cold during the test, dress in layers.
